Men’s Health Magazine recently published an article deeming Colorado Springs the drunkest city in Colorado, and the 16th biggest drinking city in the nation. While this may sound like a bit of a lark, the prerequisites that went into qualifying a city are deadly serious. The Men’s Health article listed cities based on data from the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention for the highest death rates from drinking and driving, as well as drinking induced liver disease.

Rock Jam DUI Arrests Double Last Year

Rock Jam, the superstar annual music festival held in Grand Junction Colorado, has resulted in some of its attendees making a huge dent in the Colorado State Troopers’ expected yearly DUI quota. In a single weekend ten concert goers have been arrested and charged with DUI. While this may not be a wholly impressive number, it is worth noting that Colorado State Troopers expect 200 DUI arrests in the area for an entire year, so ten people is 5 percent of the year’s estimated DUI number.
