Medical Marijuana in Colorado

The law around medical marijuana has dramatically changed over the previous year. The public's perception of medical marijuana has correspondingly evolved. There are now tens of medical marijuana dispensaries in this state that serve thousands of patients. The model, which has worked well for California for the past few years, is now working in Colorado. Medical Marijuana was overwhelmingly approved by Colorado voters and inserted into the State Constitution.

The State Constitution allows the Colorado Department of Health to regulate marijuana policy, consistent with the intent and purpose of the Constitutional amendment. There will be many questions that persons in this process have. Everyone from growers, to patients, to dispensaries, to caregivers will require legal advice.

At Rosenthal & Heymann, we stand up for citizen's right to use this medicinal herb free from the oppressive over regulation of bureaucrats and overzealous law enforcement.
